Auto Shanghai 2021

The challenge

As one of the world’s largest automotive trade fairs, Auto Shanghai offers an excellent platform for automotive manufacturers and suppliers to present their latest innovations and news. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, many of the world’s media were unable to attend the 2021 exhibition in person. Therefore, IMAG GmbH, the European co-organiser of the trade show, commissioned TheNewsMarket to connect and share news from the event with the international media.

The method

We created the Auto Shanghai brand page where we published 35 stories, covering news related to the future of mobility, electro mobility, autonomous driving, connectivity and new mobility concepts. The content was also distributed to TheNewMarket’s database of global media contacts via media alerts and social media.

The outcome

Media engagement exceeded the client’s expectations, with over 120 media outlets from 55+ countries downloading in excess of 1,300 images, 230 documents and 140 video assets.
